SETTING UP MY STASH DROP
WHAT IS A STASH DROP?
Once we've created your collection and sent you the link for a sneak peek, we'll send you our proposed dates for your first Stash Drop.
Your Stash Drop is a 7 day window in which your online collection will be 'live' and your members will have access to place their orders. The Stash Drop will last from midday on the launch date, and close at midnight on the end date.
Can my society/college have a stash drop with Redbird Apparel?
If your Society/College would like to have a bespoke stash collection with us, you will need to register your interest here.
Each request that we receive comes through to our team for approval, where we will first look at the details of your request and conduct a "vibe check" of your college/society instagram to see if we could be a good fit to collaborate with you.
Please be aware that as we are often inundated with requests in the lead up to term time, your request may not be successful. We are simply not able to accept every request that we receive.
How do I set up a stash drop for my society and what steps are involved?
Setting up a bespoke collection for your College/Society is quick and easy:
- Register your interest to have a collection with us and upload your logo
- If you pass the "vibe check" and are accepted, our in-house creative team will get to work on preparing your stash collection
- We'll have everything sorted and set up for you within 72 hours, and we'll even send you a sneak peek before we schedule your first drop
How often can we have a Stash Drop?
Most committees like to schedule one Stash Drop in each trimester so that students have plenty of opportunity to purchase stash, should they desire. This also allows students to access seasonal collection updates, and new items in each term.
Are there any costs involved?
If your application is approved, having a Stash Drop with Redbird is entirely free of charge. Plus, we'll keep your Stash Drop maintained and updated each term at no additional cost.
Are there any contracts?
We believe in earning your commitment, not enforcing it. Your incoming committee members shouldn't feel tied down, so we keep things flexible without any contracts or minimum terms. Stay with us for as long (or short) as you like - although we hope it's for the long haul!
What is required from me/my committee?
At Redbird, we view our partnerships with colleges and societies as collaborations. As a committee member, we ask very little from you. Once your Stash Drop is live, we'll provide you with the link to share on your social channels, and from there, we handle everything else.
Your role? Simply spread the word and let us do the heavy lifting.
How does delivery work?
To maintain our commitment to sustainability and operate as a near zero waste brand, all our items are made to order in limited runs. We therefore suggest allowing 2-3 weeks from the Stash Drop close date to receive your stash.
Your students have the option at checkout to choose Free Delivery to your College/Society address (the most popular choice), or Home Delivery.

Here, you'll be able to upload your logo and share any additional details with us about your club or society. Once submitted, we'll promptly review the details and notify you regarding whether or not your submission has been approved.
Why is stash important to Redbird?
Your college stash doesn't just identify you as a member of your college; it serves as a reminder of what you've achieved in earning a place at your chosen college. Countless long days, late nights, and hours of revision (with caffeine consumption to match) earned you your place at university, and your right to wear your college crest with pride. We know just how important your college stash is to you, and knowing that we can play a part in our small way, is something that we don't take lightly.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
When will I receive my order?
To tackle the monstrous textile waste problem that our industry faces, we prepare each item to order. This means that only when you hit that "Buy" button, do our team of dedicated magicians get to work on bringing your order to life.
But hey, we won't sugarcoat it: while this allows us to minimise our environmental impact in a big way, it comes at a slight increase to your delivery time. We appreciate your patience in waiting up to 3-4 weeks during busy seasons. It’s a tradeoff, but one that we’re happy to make if it means we can make our planet just that little bit happier in the process.
I did not receive my order, what should I do?
If you haven't received your order and it's been less than 3-4 weeks since you placed your order, fear not - it might be that you order hasn't yet been dispatched. Check to see if you've received a dispatch confirmation email from us. If you haven't yet, there's a good chance your order is due to be dispatched imminently!
If you've recently received a dispatch confirmation email, keep an eye on your College/Society communication channels as a member of your committee will let you know when your order is ready to collect.
If the orders from the recent Stash Drop have arrived at the college/society but you can't find your order, check with a member of the committee. If you're still unable to locate your order, reach out to us with your order number here so that we can help you.
How do I collect my order?
If you chose 'Free Pick up From My College/Society' at checkout, your order will be delivered to the College/Society address associated with the Stash Drop and a member of your committee will notify you when your package is ready to collect.
Keep an eye out on your social communication channels for details from your committee regarding how and when you can collect your order.
If you chose 'Delivery to My Home Address' at checkout, your order will be delivered to the address specified on your order.
What countries do you ship to?
Presently, we only ship to the UK. If you live outside the UK and would like to place an order, we recommend that you choose 'Free Pick up From My College/Society' at checkout and arrange for a friend to divert the package to you!
How much is the delivery cost?
If you choose Pick up From My College/Society (Most Popular) at checkout, delivery will be free of charge regardless of the order size. We do this to incentivise a more eco-friendly choice, as Delivery to College emits far fewer carbon emissions than sending out lots of individual deliveries to different addresses.
As we understand that it might not always be possible to collect your order from the College/Society, we also offer a paid Home Delivery option which you can select at checkout.
Where will my order be shipped from?
All of our items are prepared in the UK by our specialist embroidery teams.
How will my order be packed?
At Redbird, we recycle and reuse all of the packaging that we receive from our manufacturers, giving it a second lease of life. So, brace yourself for the possibility of receiving your order in a quirky, unbranded bag that's seen a few adventures. It might not win beauty contests, but it certainly helps to reduce waste. We proudly add zero surplus packaging materials to the mix.
ORDERS
I missed the stash drop, can I still order?
If you've missed the Stash Drop deadline, the collection will appear password protected and you sadly won't be able to place your order. Don't sleep on it - Stash Drops only last 7 days from launch! The good news is, if you've missed the deadline this term, we should be back again next term.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Oops! Did you do a double take on that order? Don't panic, it might not be too late to make a change. As long as the Stash Drop deadline to order hasn't yet passed, you can reach out to us here and we'll be able to cancel your order. However, please be aware that as each item is prepared to order, we're unable to cancel your order once the 7 day Stash Drop has ended.
How do I know you received my order?
If your order has been placed successfully and received by us, you will receive an order confirmation email from us with your order number. You'll then hear from us again once your order is on its way.
My order is faulty, what should I do?
No one is perfect, and we're certainly no exception. In the unlikely event that your order is faulty, please reach out to us straight away with an image and any details of the fault, and we'll be there to lend a helping hand.
Can I personalise my items?
If you're craving that extra dash of personalisation, you'll be glad to know that most of our pieces can be personalised, free of charge! Where personalisation is available, you will see a box below the item description where you can enter your name or initials.
Please note: we're only able to embroider English characters. Other typefaces or Chinese characters will not be embroidered and these personalisations won't be included.

What is Redbird Apparel's goal when it comes to sustainability?
At Redbird Apparel, our goal is to integrate sustainability practices into every aspect of what we do. That means taking a holistic approach that looks at manufacture through to delivery. If you want to learn more about our journey towards becoming a more sustainable brand, you can do so here.
How are the products manufactured?
We carefully consider our products and the way they are manufactured when building our collection each year. This means working with suppliers who promote ethical and eco-friendly practices.
Almost all of our items have one or more key accreditations to ensure that this is achieved, such as the WRAP certification which ensures workers have safe, humane, lawful and ethical working conditions. Additionally, each and every one of our items are designed & decorated right here in the UK by our talented team of local embroiderers.
How is Redbird Apparel's model built around sustainability?
We believe that the conventional model employed by the fashion industry is outdated, and that our planet shouldn't have to pay the price.
At Redbird Apparel, we've adopted an innovative 7 day drop model which enables us to eliminate the wastage associated with the under or over production of goods. For each drop, we only prepare the exact number of garments necessary. This enables us to have a sell-through rate of almost 100%, ensuring that we're not adding to the 92 million tonnes of garments that end up in landfills each year.
Any faulty garments are reused or donated, so even the imperfect pieces get a second lease of life.
HOW DOES REDBIRD HAVE ZERO WASTE?
By harnessing a drop model and preparing everything to order, we never produce any unneeded surplus. Even the faulty garments (no, we're not always perfect either!) are reused or donated to ensure that our production process isn't contributing to textile waste.
CARE & SIZING
Are the pieces unisex?
To create a collection that can be enjoyed by everyone, most of the pieces in our collection are unisex (unless stated otherwise).
While some items have distinct sizing differences for men and women, you can shop both depending on the fit that you're after. In order to secure the best fit possible, we recommend that you look at the size guides shown on each product page and compare these to a garment that you might already have lying around at home.
How do I look after my Redbird Apparel pieces?
Caring for your clothes is an act of environmental care. To extend the lifespan of embroidered garments, consistently turn them inside out and wash them at low temperatures. This practice not only helps maintain their colours and fabric structure but also minimises energy consumption.
- Close any zips on the garment to ensure the shape is maintained during the wash
- Hand washing in cold water with a mild soap will extend the longevity of the embroidery, though if you do machine wash use a delicate setting with short spin cycle and very mild detergent, at max. 30ºC/86ºF
- Do not use bleach
- Cool iron inside out on the reverse of any embroidery
- Air dry, do not tumble dry
How do I get the right size?
The right size for you will depend on your styling preferences. For the popular oversized look, make sure to add a size or two to your usual size.

Is VAT included in the price?
Additional charges such as tax/VAT are included in the prices shown on our website. The price you see is the price you pay.
What payment methods are available?
The payment methods available will be shown at checkout. These include Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay and more.
