SHIPPING & DELIVERY
What countries do you ship to?
Presently, we only ship to the UK. If you live outside the UK and would like to place an order, we recommend that you choose Delivery to College and arrange for a friend to divert the package to you!
How much is the delivery cost?
If you choose Delivery to College at check out, you will receive free delivery regardless of the order size/value. We do this to incentivise a more eco-friendly choice, as Delivery to College emits far fewer carbon emissions than sending out lots of individual deliveries to different addresses.
As we understand that it's not always possible to collect your order from college, we also offer Home Delivery which you can select and check out.
When will I receive my order?
To tackle the monstrous textile waste problem that our industry faces, we prepare each item to order. This means that only when you hit that "Buy" button, do our team of dedicated magicians get to work on bringing your order to life.
But hey, we won't sugarcoat it: while this allows us to minimise our environmental impact in a big way, it comes at a slight increase to your delivery time. We appreciate your patience in waiting up to 3-4 weeks during busy seasons. It’s a tradeoff, but one that we’re happy to make if it means we can make our planet just that little bit happier in the process.
I did not receive my order, what should I do?
If you haven't received your order and it's been less than 4 weeks, fear not - it might be that you order hasn't yet been dispatched.
Check on your college/society social communication channels to see if there has been an announcement that your order is ready to collect, or check with a member of the committee. If the orders from the stash drop have arrived at the college/society and you can't find your order, reach out to us with your order number here so that we can help you.
How do I collect my order?
If you chose Delivery to College at check out (the most popular option), your order will be delivered to the College address and you will be notified by a member of your committee when your package is ready to collect. Keep an eye out on your college/society communication channels for details from your committee members regarding how and when you can collect your order.
If you chose Home Delivery at check out, your order will be delivered to the home address that you provided.
Where will my order be shipped from?
All of our items are prepared in the UK by our specialist embroidery teams.
How will my order be packed?
At Redbird, we recycle and reuse all of the packaging that we receive from our manufacturers, and give it a second lease of life. So, brace yourself for the possibility of receiving your order in a quirky, unbranded bag that's seen a few adventures. It might not win beauty contests, but it certainly helps to reduce waste. We proudly add zero surplus packaging materials to the mix.
ORDERS
How do I know you received my order?
If your order has been placed successfully and received by us, you will receive an email confirmation from us with your order number.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Oops! Did you do a double take on that order? Don't panic, it might not be too late to make a change. As long as the stash drop deadline to order hasn't yet passed, you can reach out to us here and we'll be able to cancel your order. However, as each item is prepared to order, we're unable to cancel your order once the 7 day stash drop has ended.
My order is faulty, what should I do?
No one is perfect, and we're certainly no exception. In the unlikely event that your order is faulty, please reach out to us straight away with an image and any details of the fault, and we'll be there to lend a helping hand.
Can I personalise my items?
If you're craving that extra dash of personalisation, you'll be glad to know that most of our pieces can be personalised, free of charge!
Where available, you will see a box below the item description where you can enter your name or initials. Please note: we're only able to embroider English characters. Other typefaces or Chinese characters will not be embroidered and these personalisations won't be included.
I missed the stash drop, can I still order?
If you've missed the stash drop, the collection will appear password protected and you sadly won't be able to place your order following the order deadline. Don't sleep on it - Stash drops only last 7 days from launch!

What is Redbird Apparel's goal when it comes to sustainability?
At Redbird Apparel, our goal is to integrate sustainability practices into every aspect of what we do. That means taking a holistic approach that looks at manufacture through to delivery. If you want to learn more about our journey towards becoming a more sustainable brand, you can do so here.
How are the products manufactured?
We carefully consider our products and the way they are manufactured when building our collection each year. This means working with suppliers who promote ethical and eco-friendly practices.
Almost all of our items have one or more key accreditations to ensure that this is achieved, such as the WRAP certification which ensures workers have safe, humane, lawful and ethical working conditions.
How is Redbird Apparel's model built around sustainability?
We believe that the conventional model employed by the fashion industry is outdated, and that our planet shouldn't have to pay the price.
At Redbird Apparel, we've adopted an innovative 7 day drop model which enables us to eliminate the wastage associated with the under or over production of goods. For each drop, we only prepare the exact number of garments necessary. This enables us to have a sell-through rate of almost 100%, ensuring that we're not adding to the 92 million tonnes of garments that end up in landfills each year.
Any faulty garments are donated to a homeless shelter, so even the imperfect pieces get a second lease of life.
CARE & SIZING
Are the pieces unisex?
To create a collection that can be enjoyed by everyone, most of the pieces in our collection are unisex.
While some items have distinct sizing for men and women, you're can shop from both depending on the fit that you're after. In order to secure the best fit possible, we recommend that you look at the size guides shown on each product page.
How do I look after my Redbird Apparel pieces?
Caring for your clothes is an act of environmental care. To extend the lifespan of embroidered garments, consistently turn them inside out and wash them at low temperatures. This practice not only helps maintain their colours and fabric structure but also minimises energy consumption.
- Close any zips on the garment to ensure the shape is maintained during the wash
- Hand washing in cold water with a mild soap will extend the longevity of the embroidery, though if you do machine wash use a delicate setting with short spin cycle and very mild detergent, at max. 30ºC/86ºF
- Do not use bleach
- Cool iron inside out on the reverse of any embroidery
- Air dry, do not tumble dry
How do I get the right size?
The right size for you will depend on your styling preferences. For the popular oversized look, make sure to add a size or two to your usual size.

PAYMENT
Can I buy now pay later?
If you are eligible to pay using Klarna, you will be able to select this option at checkout and buy now, pay later.
If you encounter any difficulties while placing an order with Klarna, it could be attributed to the following potential factors:
- Klarna's payment options are contingent upon your financial circumstances. In the event that your application for Pay later or Pay in 3 has been declined by Klarna, we suggest considering an alternative payment method or placing an order for a smaller amount.
- There might be outstanding payments pending from previous Klarna purchases that you have made.
- It is possible that you have overlooked a mandatory field during the checkout process, such as providing your date of birth or a valid billing address.
Kindly note that Klarna is an autonomous payment company, and Redbird Apparel lacks the authority to influence the acceptance or rejection of your payment by Klarna.
Is VAT included in the price?
Additional charges such as tax/VAT are included in the prices shown on our website.
What payment methods are available?
The payment methods available will be shown at checkout. These include Visa, Mastercard, Paypal and Klarna.
GENERAL QUESTIONS & CUSTOM DESIGNS
Can my society/college have a collection with Redbird Apparel?
If your society/college would like to have a bespoke collection with us, you will need to register your interest here.
Each request that we receive comes through to our team for approval, where we will first look at the details of your request and conduct a "vibe check" of your college/society instagram to see if it could be a suitable collaboration.
Please be aware that as we are often inundated with requests, your request may not be successful. We are simply not able to accept every request that we receive.
How do I set up a collection for my society and what steps are involved?
Setting up a bespoke collection for your society is simple and straightforward:
- Register your interest to have a collection with us here
- If you pass the "vibe check" and are accepted, our in-house creative team will create a mood board based on your society and begin preparing your bespoke designs
- We will send you an email with 4 bespoke design options, from which you will be able to choose 2 that we make available on your collection, in addition to the classic stash pieces that we all know and love
- We will then have your online collection up and running within 48-72 hours. As soon as it's ready, we'll send you the link for a preview
- We liaise with you to organise the launch date for your society's first 7 day stash drop
Who makes the designs?
Each design is created by our expert in-house creative team. If your request to have a collection with us is sucessful, our team will conduct research into your society, looking at your social channels to find inspiration for key design elements, colours and styles, ensuring that the designs express your society in the best way possible, and are unique to you.
What costs are involved?
If your request is accepted by our team, we will create your very own bespoke collection on our website for free. Additionally, we will continue to maintain and update your collection each year free of charge, organising drops for you each term for as long as you choose to stay with us.
